Two Thai Restaurants are opening soon in St. Louis: Thai Racha in St. Louis and Thai Mama in Maryland Heights.
ST. LOUIS, MO (STLPress.News): Two highly anticipated restaurant openings have been delayed for months due to the complicated process of launching new businesses in St. Louis County.
Thai Racha – St. Louis on Telegraph Road
Thai Racha is a new Thai restaurant, but the menu items and service have been tested and proven successful at Thai Rama, 606 North Truman Blvd, Crystal City, MO 63019.
Thai Racha is the second location for this successful restauranteur, a migrant from Thailand.
The new location will focus on online ordering, carryout, and delivery. Naturally, call-in orders and dine-in are always welcome.
Thai Mama – Maryland Heights on Dorsett Road
Thai Mama is also a new restaurant but a sister to the popular family-owned Thai restaurant chain Thai Kitchen. The new location has to use a different name because the owner opened a Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights, which is still in business operating as Thai Kitchen. Therefore, to avoid confusing the public, she is opening under the new name of Thai Mama. However, it, too, will have the same Thai Kitchen menu items and award-winning service that is responsible for the success of the family-owned restaurant chain.
Coincidentally, both restaurants appear to open in February or March of 2024.
An interesting story is that the two owners are sisters. Thai Racha is owned by Nina Pittman, sister of Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, who owns Thai Kitchen in multiple locations.
Currently, Thai Kitchen has locations at:
- Florissant, MO
- O’Fallon, MO
- Maryland Heights, MO (this location – will operate as Thai Mama)
- St. Charles, MO
- St. Louis, MO
- Wentzville, MO
