De Palm Tree Restaurant is Back in Business

De Palm Tree Restaurant closed due to redevelopment of the area but has reopened in a ghost kitchen on Hampton Avenue.

ST. LOUIS, MO (STLPress.News) De Palm Tree Restaurant closed several months ago due to redevelopment of the area in which they were located for more than eighteen years.

As of this past Wednesday, you can order their menu items on their website, which directs you to TheHillFoodCo.com website.  You can only order online for pickup or delivery.

St. Louis Restaurant Review published this story on August 5, 2023, and then it was picked up by STLNews.

The physical address is 2360 Hampton Avenue, but no dine-in is available.  The facility is a ghost kitchen, which allows restaurants like De Palm Tree to cook and sell their food online for delivery or pickup without operating a full-blown restaurant.  Real estate is expensive, and staffing remains a problem as young people enter the workplace late, if entering it at all.
