Thai Mama to Open in Maryland Heights in March 2024

Thai Mama will open in Maryland Heights, Missouri, in March 2024.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (STLPress.News) Thai Mama has released that they believe they will close all permits this coming week, enabling them to open after months of renovation and slow progress caused by many changes, rescheduling, etc.

The current situation is that final inspections are scheduled this coming week for the following:

  • Plumbing Inspection
  • Electrical Inspection
  • Health Inspection

If all goes well, which they have no reason to think that they won’t go well, they could open this coming weekend or the following week.  The owner, Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, is optimistic, saying they have planned well to ensure they pass.

Thai Mama will offer:

  • Dine-in
  • Online Ordering – using eOrderSTL, DoorDash, and GrubHub
  • Pickup
  • Delivery
  • Catering
  • Bar
  • Excellent Thai cuisine and atmosphere
  • Sasi Thai Market 2 Doors to the West

The owner of Thai Mama, Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, also owns the Thai Kitchen chain, which has five locations.  Additionally, she owns Sasi Wholesale and Sasi Thai Market.  Her locations include:

She has often been asked why she is creating a new brand name.

The reason is simple.  Creating a new brand is not a business objective but an opening for business in Maryland Heights, MO.  There is already a Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights that she created in 1999.  Later, it was sold to a family member, who sold it to an unrelated family member.

Therefore, she lives in Maryland Heights and wants to do business there.  To prevent confusion, she decided to use a different name.  However, the name will not change her operation.  Thai Mama will use the same recipes and excellent service that have made her establishments so famous.
