Dave McDonald owns it and is responsible for making it a social institution. Previously, it was Krieger’s Sports Bar. He cleaned up the restaurant, changed the menu to include excellent items from scratch, and then changed the name.
Several months after purchasing the business, a developer bought and redeveloped the center into a dining and living community. It has a Carreta’s Mexican Restaurant and recently opened an upscale Italian restaurant known by most St. Louis residents; Bartolino’s.
